Cartridges
for Model 77S
The standard cartridges for the Model 77S are
scaled-down versions of the fine MatriKX cartridges used in the
standard Model 77.
The default cartridge is the MatriKX KX-1s, a high
performance carbon block filter with very high chlorine and
chemical reduction capacity.
The MatriKX PB-1s is the same highly effective carbon
block with lead reduction and cyst removal properties built in.
It's a little less effective than the +1s as a taste/odor
and chemical cartridge because it contains less carbon.
The Doulton Super Sterasyl candle is from the world's oldest filter maker, Doulton of Great Britain. The Super
Sterasyl is a durable and highly effective ceramic cartridge
with a granular carbon core. It offers the bacteria and cyst
removal properties of ceramic combined with the
chlorine/chemical reduction of carbon. The Super Sterasyl in our
generic vessel offers performance identical to the Doulton-made
countertop filter that costs more than twice as much!
